Brie honestly didn’t expect him to accept her offer - she would have thought he sure had plans for night but it would
be a lie to say she’d mind his company. They weren’t exactly close or
anything but she had nothing against the male, in fact it seemed like
the perfect chance to get to know him a little better. The twin was glad
he didn’t dig further and exhaled in relief, thankful he dropped the subject as she blinked her eye-lashes in a playful manner.
“I sure do. You better prepare though, I have to warn you. Brie Mode can
be pretty unpredictable, not just in the ring. “ He didn’t seem like the kind of guy who’d watch total divas so she figured she’d give him a fair warning seeing as she wasn’t thinking about going back home early this night.
Seth snorted, chewing on the inside his cheek before shaking his head. “Well, trust me, I’ve seen enough of your Brie Mode to know.” The response is flippant as he lifts his shoulder into a shrug, arching an eyebrow. “There’s nothin’ I’m worried about,” he finishes with a grin. “Ya wanna meet there or?”
She hated to pretend everything was alright especially when it
was far from the truth. Selling storylines was one thing, lying however
was a completely different story. The last thing she wanted was to
bother the male with her relationship issues, hence why she inhaled a
deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment before she responded with a
light smile. “Oh, it’s nothing worth talking about really. Thanks for
asking.” The twin shook her head at his question. truth was, she didn’t
want to talk about it. If anything, she needed a distraction to clear
her mind. “Honestly? I’d rather get a drink or two. It’s been a rough
day and I just want to relax so if you don’t have anything better to do, feel free to join.”
He arched an eyebrow, wondering if he should pester the woman just slightly. He shakes himself out of it though, decides not to. doesn’t want to pressure Brie more than it seems she already is.He lets out a soft smile, nods his head slightly. “I’d love to join. You want to lead the way?” The question is quick, unsure, even though he was invited. “Looks like you need a drink, for sure.”
Brie rushed out of her husbands office after yet another
discussion over stupid things and the adrenaline was still burning
through her veins as she walked down the hallway, still mad at Bryan and
partly even herself for trying to make things right between them. The
twin really didn’t pay any attention to her surroundings in her rage as
she went towards the exit. She just wanted to get out of the building
and take a break. The brunette was so caught up in her own thoughts she
almost bumped into the male that appeared in front of her.
Stopping in her tracks, she
gave him a soft smile to cover up the harsh feelings the fight with
Bryan left. “Hey, everything alright?”.
He arched an eyebrow at the woman in front of him, able to see that she was upset about something. Part of him wanted to ask her what was wrong, but they weren’t close, weren’t even really friends to be honest, so he didn’t know if he could ask her what was going on.
“Course. What about you? You look like something is really grinding your gears,” he states flushing lightly at his statement before shrugging to himself. “Want to talk about whatever’s botherin’ ya?”
He tilted his head as the twin walked down the hall and towards him. A part of him had always been interested in both her and her sister, but he never said anything, never made his attraction towards her obvious, maybe because of who she was with. Sure, her sister was with Cena – head over heels for Cena, and that was why he never did anything for Nicole, never tried anything, because he could see true love and he saw it between them. But when it came to Brie….
He blinked, shook his head and looked down, taking deep breaths to calm himself as she got closer to him.
As soon as Colby gave her the go ahead, Brie called their waitress over so she could box their food up for the two of them, and she was so glad Colby agreed to the two of them leaving, because she was really anxious to spend some alone time with him. “Hmmm, well I can always supply you with all the kisses you need, no questions asked. I usually charge for my kisses too, but seeing as how you’re so cute, you get them for free.”
“Well, I would certainly hope that kisses from you to me are free. Otherwise, I might go broke, payin’ for them.” Colby grins, standing up to pay for the bill. He takes out the appropriate amount of cash before leaving the able, waiting for Brie with a soft smile. “Where d’ya want to go?”
Brie couldn’t help but to raise a questioning eyebrow at Colby, because shy was the very last word she’d ever use to describe him. “You? Shy? No way! That’s actually really cute, but I’m glad that you really like me, because I really like you too.” She leaned into his touch, moving her head so she could place a kiss against his hand that was against his cheek. “How about we get the rest of our food to go, so we can get out of here and get to some more private kisses?”
He nodded his head, caressing Brie’s cheek before smiling. “I like the sound of that.” He adds, backing away with a content sigh. As much as he wanted to stay and eat, he knew privacy would be a good thing, since there were some things he wouldn’t get away with in a public domain. “I could always go for kisses.”
To be honest, and it was actually a little bit surprising to her that he didn’t, but Brie just knew Colby would be the one to kiss her first, because this was Colby. Mr. Cocky and full of confidence, but she had to admit, she was loving this different side of him, and she couldn’t help but to smile, because their kiss was absolutely perfect. “I gotta tell ya, I can’t help but to be a little happy over the fact I get all the bragging rights and say I kissed you first!”
Colby chuckles, shaking his head fondly as he caresses Brie’s cheek. “Want to know a secret?” He whispers, arching an eyebrow before continuing on, “I’m actually really shy with women I truly like. Took me up to a year to actually ask out my ex,” he adds, stepping away before shrugging. “And brag all you want, because I’l be bragging that you kissed me in general.”
Colby didn’t have to say one word, because his actions and the way he looked her in the eyes, let her know everything she needed too, and in her heart she already knew they could make this work, because they both wanted this, more than anything. Instead of saying a word herself, Brie leaned in closer to Colby, letting her lips brush against his as she kissed him softly.
The kiss was soft and one of the best that Colby had ever had, which said a lot, seeing as he had kissed many different women through his years. Brie’s lips were soft to the touch, and as he opened his mouth a little, Colby was so thankful that the woman seemed to have understood his intentions, because there was no way he could’ve started this himself. Breaking away, he caresses her cheek once more, smiling softly.
She cocked an eyebrow up, a smirk
quickly ghosting over her twin flesh when he told her to repeat
herself. “I don’t know… Should I repeat myself? I mean you didn’t hear
me the first time.” The Bella pokes fun at him, the twinkle in her eye showing
she was only joking around. Her eyes flicker to his fingers, watching as he
combed it through his hair before flickering back to lock eyes with him.
Sighing the Bella shrugs and leans back against the wall. “I saaaaaid do
you want to hang out with me? You know? Like the two of us going out and doing
something? If you don’t have anything already planned?”
He lets out a faint chuckle, knowing the Bella is joking with him but curious all of the same. He finds himself arching one of his eyebrows though at her response, and wonders what she means, needs clarification because this is Brie Bella and one never knows. “You mean like a date” He questions, brow furrowed as he licks his lips in thought. “I mean hell, that would certainly be fun, date or not, so I’m down.” Colby adds, covering his tracks just in case.
His words definitely surprised her a little bit, but if she was being honest, she missed Colby too and it sucked that as soon as he was making his return, she was already gone. “I miss you too, very much, but, do you really think we could make a long distance thing work? I really want to, but I understand if you don’t think it will work…”
Colby steps closer to Brie, placing his hand on her cheek to slowly caress it. All he wants to do is lean forward, kiss her, tell her just how much it would mean to him if they worked at long distance. Instead, he simply looks into her eyes and continues to caress her cheek, hoping she realizes just what he can’t put into words.
